EV updates...

New words: outside, "I love you" but it doesn't sound anything actually like it, of course "bye bye" but it is said with more energy now, every sentence of her's starts with "No, I..." and then Swedish after it. Her words are very limited but her fervor in saying what she does say has increased as evidenced by this video:

She's reading The First Christmas but we have no idea what she's saying.

Some of the latest cute things: yesterday it was when she was playing with the hose, looking straight into the hose (which was set on mist thankfully) then turned it on. She was sprayed straight in the face, looked up at us surprised and said "Whoops". Another one is when she "puts us to sleep" in her bed. If we lie down she brings us stuffed animals, tucks us in and pushes our face into the pillow to have our eyes shut. Then shortly afterwards she'll take the blanket off of us and try to get us out of bed.

With our building projects lately she has taken to using the measuring tape to measure everything in our house. Yesterday it was the dresser. All of her measurements need to be double checked.

Second cutest thing yesterday: I was cleaning out the fridge since something spilled but EV was done eating. She starts by saying "All Done" at a normal volume and it increases each time we don't respond. I kept telling her it would be 1 second and Ed pointed out she clearly knows how to tell time and I was staying longer than 1 second. So I then explained it would be 3 minutes and the look she gave me was hilarious. It was like she knew I was adding a significant amount of time and she was not happy about it. Furrowed brow, pursed lips, the whole deal. That's my kid.

She has also taken a liking to any and every magazine in our house. I received a Pottery Barn catalog (not sure why since I have never purchased anything from there) and EV sits on the couch and looks through it saying "Wow" or "Oh" on nearly every page. I'm assuming she's looking at the prices.

  1. LOVE the video of her "reading!" SO CUTE :-)

We were at a restaurant the other day and the waitress said she would be back with our drinks in a second, and Mallory pointed out that grown up seconds are really long. (thanks for triggering this memory - I need to blog it!).

  2. Sooo cute - EV seems like quite the little personality - wish we could get our girls together to play, I know they would have a blast :)
