Food rut

I need to figure out some ways to be creative with the food EV consumes.  Right now she's eating apple pieces, peas, corn and raisins.  Soon I'll put some pasta down on her tray too.  This is a pretty regular meal, maybe not all the things together, but they're mixed with something. Regularly consumed items:

string cheese
yogurt
diced ham
turkey lunch meat
broccoli
peas and corn
carrots
raisins
apple
bananas
cheerios
oatmeal
pasta
bagel/bread

She'll have bits and pieces of whatever we have but we rarely eat a meal together.  Lately I've been baking so she's had slices of whatever I made.

I can't think of anything else.  Her day consists of a combination of some or all of these.  I guess I'm not expecting to be feeding her salmon or a filet, but I'm hoping for a little more variety.

Any suggestions???

Oh, and did I mention...we always have Led Zeppelin on while she eats.  She loves to bob her head!

  1. Scrambled eggs are a huge hit with Helen. Plus, they are a great source of protein and you can mix in some whole milk (my kid is small so i'm always looking for ways to fatten her up).

Pasta is a great one. I even mix in some spinach with the sauce.

Potatoes are good, too. Mashed (with whole milk & butter, of course) or very soft chunks are another favorite.

Helen also LOVES hot dogs, as unhealthy as they are. I cut them up small and leave a little ketchup on her plate to dip.

P.S. Led Zeppelin is a personal favorite. :)
