Red and yellow, black and white...

A few nights ago, Ed and I were relaxing on the couch while EV rambled around the house.  I'm not sure if this was a legitimate display of her intelligence or pure coincidence but it was very special and Ed and I had tears in our eyes because we were so proud of her.

For Christmas, Ed and I got EV this wooden stacking toy:

"Baby girl, could you bring me a ball?"

(Finds and brings me the tennis ball)

"Baby girl, could you bring me something red?"

(Finds and brings me the orange octagon piece from the middle section of the stackables)

"Baby girl, could you bring me something blue?"

(Finds and brings me the light blue and dark purple circle sections)

"Baby girl, could you bring me something yellow?"

(Walks past the yellow plastic toy right next to her and heads to her kitchen set.  Opens up the oven section and digs around for a second or two.  She then walks back with the yellow odd shaped section from the left stackable)

"Good baby, good baby, good baby!"

We were very proud of her.

  1. This is huge!

If you haven't already, try the letters of the alphabet. Fridge magnets, coloring books, drawing on paper, Sesame Street, etc...

We tired it with Helen and she knows most of her letters. They are little sponges.
