I'm about to have pizza rolls for lunch (I know, they're TERRIBLE for me, but I may be addicted). Besides loving their ooey gooey awesomeness, it makes me remember my sophomore year in college. I was attending Loyola University Chicago, but most Chicagoins remember the infamous Steve Bartlett catch in left field taking place that fall.
My roomates were Allison, Trishy and Trisha and we lived in Lakefront Apartments, which was so close to the lake we could throw our old bread out the window and hit water...I'm really not kidding. It was ridiculous. You could look out your window and all you saw was water. The apartment was ridiculously tiny, so tiny my desk was basically in the kitchen. The little nook where I got to keep my desk was the only place studying occurred! Allison was always volunteering for something, Trisha was always finding new ways to waste time or something artsy to attend and Trishy didn't need to study at all, she was brilliant.
I want to remember these things so I'm writing them down:
Belting out Melissa Etheridge and Cher (if I could turn back tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime)
Sang harmony to a song that escapes my memory right now
Watching the "speak whale" portion of Finding Nemo before conditioning
Had a pet bunny for a few hours
I had a dream there where I swear I saw Lucy and Desi Arnez in heaven
We had a random bird cage chair which we did not have room for
Holding sporadic family meals in which Allison one time made something with peanut sauce
Learning I don't like peanut sauce
Watching Friends - this was the last season I believe
Having to scrub our tub multiple times because the RA wasn't satisfied and swore we had salmonella or something in it
Pizza Rolls!
Santiago painted my feet
There are many more I'm sure and this list doesn't do that year justice.
