Make Baby Food: CHECK

Since I traveled a lot when EV was 6 months I decided to start off solids by making her baby food.  It was something I could do when I was home (this turned into me making things at 2 am) and I felt like I was being a mother to her.  When you're gone so much you miss out on a lot but I could guarantee that she had food.  The only denial so far has been the carrots.  I'm curious if this runs in the family since Mom told me the exact story of me only wanting jarred carrots and gagging at the carrots she made for me.  I don't like carrots anyway.

EV loved the squash with apple juice and I'm pretty sure she would have eaten 10 ice cubes worth of peaches if I let her.  Ed showed me the bag of peaches and there were only two cubes left! Trick I learned on my own, no momma blog for this one, I do freeze them in the ice cube trays like everyone else but then once frozen I plop them into a freezer bag so I can free up the trays for something else, like more baby food.  I'm sure many people do this but I'll be honest, I patted myself on the back for this one.  To remedy the issue of peaches being gone I finally prepared all the baby food supplies I bought last week.  So her new options for the upcoming feedings are:
1) pears in pomegranate juice
2) pineapple with banana
3) peas in carrot juice (you will eat something carrot of mine baby girl!)

I've been reading a lot about introducing dairy and I'm still a little clueless.  I just need to figure out what we start with.  Some things have been saying she can have yogurt and cottage cheese.  I can't remember the last time I had cottage cheese and I can't remember the last day I didn't have yogurt.  That will be my new research project: dairy.  I'll work that in with finding a job and packing up the house to prepare to move to unknown job (or just another place if I don't find a job).  Yes, I prefer thinking about baby food.  That I'm good at.

Oh, and can you tell I have more time on my hands?

The pictures are of the top of my freezer and the left over pineapple banana that will go in the next available ice tray.
