The game is on January 3 and thanks to our amazing parents, the ticket and hotel room have been covered. They are incredible people and I'm pretty sure it's all just a ploy to get more time with EV. She'll be staying with my mom and dad starting Jan 1 til Jan 4 (or longer, depending on when Ed gets up to St. Joe).
I am incredibly excited for the trip. We're staying at the Terrell House in the Garden District. It's a bed and breakfast which ranked very high in many reviews (no lower than 4 stars with over 30 reviews at each site). When we first made the reservation we booked the Blue Room (GO BLUE!) but the very nice owner asked us to switch to the Red room since we would only be staying 1 night. I explained to her how hard this was for a Michigan alumnus to switch rooms and she said she understood and maybe she could add some blue light bulbs to give the room a blue hue. So sweet.
Anyways, thanks to Ed's dad, we'll be staying an extra day and that means we get the Blue Room again!!! It was meant to be!
I can't wait to be back among the Michigan faithful! Win, lose, or draw, it will feel great to cheer on the Maize and Blue and to sing one of the greatest fight songs in all the land! Although, Indiana, Our Indiana has grown on me and now ranks as another favorite.
