Baby steps...

This is what I did this afternoon (besides going to view a house, making a pizza and shopping Goodwill to look for a frame)

I made this in photoshop.  So much easier than painting.  At least I have an idea what I want my chevron design to look like, even if I'm not completely sold on this grey.  The 45 degree angles though is what I was missing from my cork board idea...those are too pointy.  

I'm going to mess around with some more designs before I make up my mind.  Ed has convinced me to buy a $40.00 frame from Michaels (50% off from it's original $80 price tag).  My idea is to use the frame, similar to this one but not as ornate...

...and put this chevron pattern on something (canvas, picture matting or plain old poster board) then spell out KEOGH in either school bus yellow or purple with wood letters or some other letters.  So here it is in photoshop...

or with a little color...

I don't know, I need to mess around some more, I'm not sold.
