I am in a "I just read a witty blog and would love to be that witty but I don't think it's actually me so I'll just write a boring post updating the world on life" kind of mood.
Scary thing outside our house: Ricky (the Dodge Intrepid) sits under this tree that is leaking sap. It's a regular tree...clearly I am a tree expert since I'm sure "regular" is a scientific term...so I wasn't expecting sap. Aren't those just on pine trees??? Anyways, leaking sap isn't the correct term, more like gushing. The cars are always soaked in this stuff and you can see the frisky little raccoon footprints since our car is apparently a happy hide-and-seek headquarters. Bees love our car now, there are AT LEAST 20 bees on the car at any time. I started parking the i'mamomanddriveaminivan at the end of the driveway to avoid this stuff. Rent is cheap here but when you add in car washes it's...still cheap...thank goodness.
EV is a full blown walker, not so much talker still. Mama is the word of the moment and I'm fine if she says only that for the rest of her life. It's the most important word in the English language right? She has learned to 1/2 blow kisses. 1/2 because she puts her hand up to her mouth and that's it. She then bites her palm, that's a scary kiss. Hug mama has become popular lately, well just today. She puts her arms around me and pats my back just like I pat her's when I hug her. My heart melts.
Work is crazy busy. The first week of individuals was nuts. Let's just say medical laws prevent me from telling you why I spent an entire night in the hospital...but I did. Real practice starts tomorrow and I am psyched. Love. My. Job.
I've been working with a trainer at the gym and so far I have broken up with 6.5 lbs. I feel like I've worked harder than 6.5 pounds but whatever, I'm lifting heavy stuff. When my trainer Ben asked what exercises I liked I said "I want to lift heavy stuff"...such a chick answer right? Not really, all the girls walk on the treadmill and do abs. I'm doing deadlifts, RDLs, dumbbell press...college stuff. Feels good to be getting strong again but I am eager to lose this spare tire around my waist. Not attractive and frankly annoying.
I'm working on this big project for EV's birthday. Did I mention it's in 20 days? I'm not prepared to have a 1 year old, where'd my baby go??????????????????????????????????
