Yesterday I took EV to her first softball game. Michigan was playing Michigan State in a fall scrimmage and I got the OK to use the suite at the stadium. It was great because we were able to stay nice and warm up there but still see the game. We had some great visitors and my mom and dad were able to make it to the game too. At first I thought I should bring the carseat or something for EV to sleep on while we were at the game but then I realized with my mom and dad, Ed's mom there, and a stream of visitors, no one was going to put EV down. I didn't even get to hold her that much but that's ok, she knows her Mommy. I don't think she'll forget who I am.
EV slept the ENTIRE time we were there. She was amazing. I thought I was going to have to pay for it later but mom and dad were eager to have baby duty for me so I could sleep. I figured EV knew she was at the ball park and found it soothing. All she heard for a long time in my belly was the crack of the bat, a ball hitting a glove, and cheering from the crowd (oh, and a few choice words from our head coach). Hopefully EV is at home at the ballpark!
